How to Bridge from Bitcoin to RSK with Liquality Wallet

Liquality Wallet is the easiest way to access multiple chains, all from one location. Using the atomic swap or FastBTC features you’re able to take your assets from one chain to another in no time.

Last year we announced that our wallet is compatible with RSK and its scalable ecosystem for smart contracts and Bitcoin DeFi. Getting your Liquality Wallet set up to work with it is very easy. All it takes is a few simple steps to swap assets like BTC with RBTC.

1. First off, if you don’t automatically see RBTC added to the list of assets available to you, simply click on the hamburger icon on the upper-right corner of the Liquality Wallet browser extension. Click on Manage Assets.

2. Once there, you can search for RBTC or simply scroll down until you find it. Flip the switch and it'll be available for swaps.

3. Click on the Swap feature back on the main menu, select BTC and RBTC on the send and receive options and enter the desired amount of BTC you wish to swap.

There is a minimum swap amount of $50-$100 and up to 1% in market maker’s fee with 0% slippage. If you choose to go with Sovryn's FastBTC Relay, there is a minimum  swap amount of 0.0004 BTC and a maximum of 1 BTC together with a 5,000 sat plus 0.2% fee. In both cases, these fees are charged on top of the network fees. However, the Liquality Wallet usually funds users’ RSK claim fees for atomic swaps and FastBTC users are not charged claim fees at all.

4. Finally, Review your transaction and Initiate Swap. Once it’s complete you’re good to go.

Once you have RBTC, you can use applications on RSK’s secure ecosystem including Sovryn, Money on Chain, and more. You can also use Liqualily Wallet for atomic swaps between a wide range of pairs. Be sure to review our full list of compatible pairs.
